Joe Locke Quartet Italy Tour 2024 with Special Guest Matteo Prefumo

Matteo Prefumo will join the internationally acclaimed American vibraphonist Joe Locke as a special guest for the Italian leg of Locke’s tour this October. From October 17^th 2024 to October 26^th 2024, audiences across Italy will be treated to a stellar lineup, featuring some of the most talented musicians in modern jazz.

The band lineup for the tour includes:

• • Jim Ridl – Piano & Synths

• • Lorin Cohen – Db. Bass

• • Vladimir Kostadinovich – Drums

• • Matteo Prefumo – Guitar

The concerts where Matteo Prefumo will perform with the “Joe Locke Quartet” are as follows:

• October 17^th – Dai De Jazz (Forlimpopoli)
• October 18^th – Cantina Bentivoglio (Bologna)
• October 19^th – Ferrara Jazz Club (Ferrara)
• October 20^th – Milestone Club (Piacenza)
• October 24^th – Jazz&Wine Of Peace (Cormòns)
• October 26^th – Culture Festival (Santu Lussurgiu)

This will mark the first time Matteo Prefumo participates in a full tour with Joe Locke’s ensemble. Prefumo previously joined Locke’s band, Amaranth, in late 2022, performing a couple of tunes during a gig on the European tour.

Reflecting on the upcoming tour, Matteo shared:
“This is truly a dream come true for me, as I have always been a huge fan of Joe’s music. We first met in 2022, thanks to my great friend and incredible musician, Vladimir Kostadinovic, who will also be part of this series of concerts. From that day, Joe and I became close friends, and when he asked me to join this project, it was an incredible honor and joy. Not only is he one of my favorite musicians, but he’s also one of my favorite people and one of the most supportive individuals I’ve ever met. I’m really looking forward to these amazing upcoming dates.“
